| Being a good host |
|
001. Always be supportive. If a hostee sends you an e-mail, don't hesitate to respond to it, especially if it's dealing with their site. Hostees appreciate e-mails that are quickly responded to. 002. Stop by your hostees sites and leave them a supportive comments often, like "keep up the good work!" or "great updates!". 003. Be nice and friendly to your hostees at all times. No one wants to be hosted by someone that's rude because I guarantee you will not keep hostees long. 004. Make sure you do things fairly and let hostees know that you are a fair host. For example, if someone e-mails you personally asking to be hosted, you should tell them to use your application like everyone else, because that is fair. It wouldn't be fair if everyone else had to apply and you accept someone else just because they e-mailed you personally. 005. If you have messenger and get an IM from a hostee, talk to them. Make hostees comfortable talking to you and make them feel like they can talk to you if they need to. 006. If you notice a hostee is not following the rules, warn them over e-mail in a nice way. If you have to get stricter, do so, but always keep rudeness to a minimum and refer back to your rules if you have to, pointing out what rule(s) they aren't following. 007. If you get new features or new additions to your hosting site, e-mail your hostees and let them know so they'll be aware. |
